Checklists are powerful analysis aids when they are thoughtfully
constructed.

Each test case should be self-contained, with specific objectives and
test data. Within each test there should be built-in restart points,
convenient places for resuming in the event of unexpected aborts during
the test. Every test should be planned so that in posttest analysis it
can be shown what the inputs were, what the results were predicted to
be, and what the results actually were.
